Jackie’s Dance Theatre was founded in 1958 and
has been an integral part of the Plant City Arts
since.

Before teaching Jackie was a member of the
Tampa Civic Ballet and toured with the
Washington School of Ballet Company. She was
associate director of the Ballet Royal from 1962-
76, of the Central Florida Ballet Company, 1968-
71, and was artistic director for Plant City High
School. Sharon joined her mother after earning
an associate of fine arts degree from Florida
State University and a bachelor of fine arts
degree from the University of South Florida.

Both Jackie and Sharon are Certified Florida
Dance Masters. Champion Clogger, Becky Conn
teaches our mini clogging and Showcase
clogging classes, and Vic Larsen, teaches adult
tap.

Our students have the opportunity to participate
in the Annual Strawberry Festival and parades,
local events, Holiday parades and shows, and
our Annual Dance Recital.

Many of our students also take part in the Plant
City Children's Theatre Spring play, Summer play
and the annual performance of the "Nutcracker".
